Introduction
The Sustainable Action Conference 2026 (SAC 4.0) marks the fourth edition of Malaysia's premier sustainability conference and will be hosted in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for the first time. Organised by Control Union (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia, SAC 4.0 brings together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, academia, government agencies, and sustainability practitioners to accelerate collaboration and drive sustainable economic transformation.
Guided with the overreaching theme ‘Sustainability as the New Economic Advantage’, the conference recognises that sustainability has evolved beyond environmental responsibility to become a strategic driver of economic resilience, investment attractiveness, innovation, and long-term business competitiveness.
Aligned with the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 Roadmap (2026–2030) and guided by the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
Beyond knowledge sharing, SAC 4.0 is committed to creating meaningful social impact through the Flagship Initiatives: From Children to Children (FCTC), which empowers students across Sabah to lead sustainability projects.
